Innerleithen is located six miles east of Peebles in the Scottish Borders on the A72.
As well as simply exploring the beautiful
local scenery, a visit to Innerleithen isn’t complete
without taking in the local attractions.
Innerleithen is the eighth largest settlement in
the Scottish Borders, situated near the junction of Leithen Water
and the River Tweed in the eastern part of Tweeddale. It is a
beautiful small town nestled amongst lush green hills; with the
tumbling Leithen Water and the famous River Tweed providing the
perfect border to this picture-postcard setting.
The town has all the essential amenities, but none
of the hustle and bustle of a large town or city. For that, you
are only fifty minutes drive from Edinburgh
and just two hours from Newcastle and Carlisle.
A visit here means you are within easy reach of
the scenic town of Peebles
(6 miles) and Galashiels
(12 miles) with its many shops, cafe's, hotels swimming
pool, and cinema.
With a range of craft and antique shops, a small
supermarket, chemist, health centre, post office and a selection
of pubs, Innerleithen makes a perfect base from which to explore
the Borders. With an excellent bus
service throughout the Tweed Valley, linking all the best
local attractions, it retains easy access to Edinburgh, whilst
managing to feel like a million miles away from the capital city.

Innerleithen is an excellent centre for golf,
fishing and walking – the town being a stop-off on
the coast to coast Southern Upland Way route. It boasts
some of the world’s
best mountain biking with internationally renowned cross
country and downhill trails just five minutes from the hotel.

calendar– throughout the year you can enjoy many
musical, cultural and sporting events. As well as being
